March 31 (7:00 p.m. at F&M's Roschel Performing Arts Center) Eiserer-Hickey Lecture: Bill Thompson III, "No Child Left Inside: Birds As a Doorway to Nature" - Join us for a free lecture by the nationally known speaker and editor of Bird Watcher's Digest. Mr. Thompson is the author of The Young Birder's Guide to Eastern Birds, which gives young people ages 8 to 12 an introduction to the world of birds in a way they can appreciate and enjoy. The book is a part of the Peterson Field Guide Series published by Houghton Mifflin. He'll discuss how the book was created, how to get kids interested in nature, and will share stories about his own adventures as a young birder. He will also offer some insight into countering the growing trend of "nature deficit disorder." This inaugural Eiserer-Hickey Lecture is being sponsored by the Museum, the Lancaster County Bird Club, and Franklin & Marshall College.

Join us for the opportunity to earn your Astronomy, Geology, and Science Academic Belt Loops, and complete the requirements for the Collecting Belt Loop and the Academic pins for Astronomy, Geology and Science - all in one day!
