Little Explorer & Me: Endangered Species

Each month, the Little Explorer and Me program will introduce a new topic to our preschool guests. Sessions will include hands-on activities as well as experiments, demonstrations, and more. Coffee is also included!

Biome Adventure

The earth is covered in many different types of environments, called biomes or habitats. Little explorers need to get each endangered animal home to its correct biome.

Animal Action Dice

Little explorers get the chance to show their stuff by rolling the dice and acting out what they dice tell them. Will they need to make a noise like an elephant, or move like a panda?

Silhouette Painting

Little explorers can learn about some of the most unique endangered animals while creating a painting of some of them to take home.

Extinct and Endangered Animal Collections

Too often, humans act too late to save some creatures from disappearing forever. Little explorers will see some of these now-gone creatures up close and learn how they might save others from the same fate.

This is a drop-in program and no preregistration is required.

Non-Members: Little Explorer & Me activities are included in admission price, children 2 and under are free.

Members: Little Explorer & Me activities are free with Museum Membership ID.
