STEM Sisters
Celebrating Black History Month and a Math Contest!

Monday, February 18th, 2019
5:30 pm

Join the STEM Sisters on Monday, February 18th 2019 (5:30pm) at the North Museum of Nature and Science for an exciting evening learning about African American women in STEM as well as challenging our math skills through a special contest.

As we know, February is Black History Month and so we would like to shed some light on some of the amazing African American women that have and are currently making great waves in the world of STEM.

In addition, we are going to spend some time on one of the less explored letters in STEM, “M (math)”. Using our skills and working in teams, STEM Sisters will have fun participating in a math themed contest. You do not need to have “strong math skills” to participate so do not feel intimidated. Everyone will work as a team and help each other.

This event is for STEM Sisters and Mentors. Dinner will be provided.
This is a FREE event.
