Dinosaurs: A Story of Survival
On June 26, North Museum Members are invited to the exclusive premiere of our newest planetarium show, “Dinosaurs: A Story of Survival.” Showings at 6pm and 7pm. Members always enter the museum and planetarium FREE, and on June 26 we invite you to this private, after-hours event, exclusively for you and your family. Members are the heartbeat of North Museum and we cannot wait to show you our newest planetarium show before anyone else!

Secret of the Cardboard Rocket
Suggested for children in Grades 1-4

From the boiling surface of the sun to the icy rings of Saturn, embark on a dynamic adventure as two young explorers magically travel through the solar system aboard their handcrafted cardboard rocket. With the help of “Book,” the talking astronomy book, as their guide, the travelers seek to visit the Sun, the eight planets and Pluto, while discovering something new about each along the way.

SUPERVOLCANOES

Feel the Heat! Explore rare types of volcanic eruptions that marshal the energy that lurks, like a sleeping dragon, beneath the surface of planet Earth. The story of these big blow outs is a tale of havoc and mayhem: mass extinctions, climate collapses, and
violence beyond anything humans have ever witnessed. In this unique immersive experience, audiences will explore the impact of volcanism on Earth and other worlds in our solar system. Can a supervolcano erupt in our own time? The answer is surprisingly close to home.

NIGHT SKY TOUR –LIVE ASTRONOMY SHOW!
Saturday, June 21 at 1pm
Suggested for children in 5th grade to Adults
Join the North Museum’s Astronomy Educators to explore the wonders of the night sky in our live planetarium show, Night Sky Tour! Witness the night sky come to life as you learn about the constellations among the stars, planets currently visible, our place in the cosmos, and more! Each of our Planetarium Educators will bring their own expertise to the Night Sky Tour program, making each show a different experience.

ONE WORLD, ONE SKY, BIG BIRD’S ADVENTURE
June 25 & 28 at 11am
Explore the night sky with your favorite friends from Sesame Street in Big Bird’s Adventure: One World, One Sky. Follow along with Big Bird, Elmo, and their friend from China, Hu Hu Zhu, as they take you on a journey of discovery to learn about the Big Dipper, the North Star, the Sun, and the Moon.
