Experience Cool Science at the museum! A week of self-led and facilitated activities, crafts, and demonstrations with simple but exciting scientific concepts. You’ll be wowed as you learn about math, chemistry, physics, engineering, and much more.
Enter with general admission. FREE for members.
COOL SCIENCE ACTIVITIES
(Non-Facilitated)
- Sink or Float Density – which objects will sink or float?
- Cup Tower Challenge – build towers using plastic cups… without toppling!
- Mystery Shapes – use your senses to draw hidden objects.
- Spin and Balance Station – use your body to explore orientation and equilibrium.
- After Image Station – test your eyes abilities to imprint a negative image.
- Floating Paperclip – learn about surface tension.
COOL SCIENCE DEMONSTRATIONS
- Balloon Science – See how to burn a balloon without popping, get one to self inflate, and more.
- Dry Ice Science – See what happens what water, dish soap, and dry ice is mixed together.
- Yo-yo Physics – Watch a local yo-yo enthusiast demonstrate cool yo-yo tricks and stunts while learning about the physics of it.
*Activities and demonstrations rotate as available, and are subject to change.

Cool Science Nurture Camp (3-6 years old)
Children dive into science-backed, nature-based, STEM-rich experiences built just for the little ones.
Cost: $40 per child per day
Schedule:
Drop Off: 9am–9:30am
Program runs: 9:30am–11:30am
Pick Up: 11:30am–12pm
Please note: Kids need to be potty trained and bring a snack.
