Astronomy Day

Join us for Astronomy Day, where we will have liquid nitrogen demos, moon slime, moon lander building and a moon lander competition, One World, One Sky Big Bird’s Adventure at 11am & 4pm, Night Sky Tours at 1pm and 3pm with the 1pm focusing on Moon Facts and the Artemis mission, and the 3pm showing focusing on Moon lore.

Please note: Astronomy Day activities will only be from 10am to 3pm at the North Museum and that “weather permitting” also includes cancellation due to cloud cover.

Astronomy Day Activities:

• Crater impact experiment (this is also the Little Explorer and Me activity)
• Creator naming activity
• Liquid nitrogen demonstrations
• Moon lander creation
• Moon lander drop test
• Moon slime
• Planisphere creation

Planetarium Show Schedule for the Day:

• 11 AM: One World, One Sky: Big Bird’s Adventure
• 12 PM: Earth, Moon, & Sun
• 1 PM: Night Sky Tour, Artemis Edition (by Cole Penkunas)
• 2 PM: Phantom of the Universe: The Hunt for Dark Matter
• 3 PM: Night Sky Tour, Moon Myths Edition (by Kate Wilson)
• 4 PM: One World, One Sky: Big Bird’s Adventure
