When: Saturday, December 16 from 6:30–8:30pm.
Where: North Museum campus, and North Museum Planetarium
Who: Explorer Society, members, family, friends, and guests

Get ready for one of the brightest, busiest, and most beloved meteor showers of the year! The Geminids can produce more than 100 meteors per hour under dark skies—and even from the city you can still catch dozens of sparkling streaks lighting up the night.
Our very own astronomer Cole Penkunas will be your sky guide for the evening. Telescopes will be on-site (and fun to try), but the best way to watch a meteor shower is simply to look up and enjoy with your own eyes.
Grab your cocoa or coffee-filled thermos, bundle in blankets, and bring the whole family for an unforgettable cosmic celebration under the stars.
Plus, what’s going on with Comet 3I/ATLAS? Telescopes will be on-site (and fun to try), but the best way to watch a meteor shower is simply to look up and enjoy with your own eyes.
