STEM SISTERS “SHARK TANK” EVENT

This meeting’s theme will be INNOVATION.
According to the World Economic Forums’ latest Global Gender Gap Report, women remain “significantly underrepresented” in STEM occupations.* Only 17% of inventors holding international patents were women in 2022, while 83% were men, the United Nations finds. While more women are being named in scientific patents, men are still well ahead. Perhaps, not for long.
In this meeting we will invite a guest innovator and guest STEM professional to discuss how to articulate your invention idea with mission, vision, and a business plan, ala “Shark Tank.” The ABC show that invites budding entrepreneurs to present their concepts to a panel of ready investors.
STEM Sisters events are free and open to the public. All girls in grades 6–12 are invited to sign up for the program and then register to join this event! We’ll see you there!
