Imagining Insects–Butterfly Demonstration, Malin's Monarchy
In honor of our new exhibition, Imagining Insects, North Museum welcomes back Malin's Monarch!




Join us Friday–Sunday when local educators and citizen scientists Lindy and Philip Malin of Malin's Monarch will present live butterfly demonstrations.
- Live caterpillars and monarchs
- Presentation slide show
- Hands-on samples, including frass (caterpillar poop!)
They have been rescuing, raising, and releasing monarch since 1996! According to the Malin's, "This has been a phenomenal year for our monarchs. Each day we release between 20 and 30, which we have rescued from roadside milkweed patches that are due to be sprayed or cut down."
