The Museum relies on the dedication and commitment of many volunteers to deliver excellent service to the community. To contribute your time, energy and skills where people of every background can be excited by nature and science, the North Museum offers a range of volunteer opportunities.
Adults and students age 15 or older can greet visitors or school groups at the door, assist staff with educational programs, demonstrate science activities or share with guests all the fun and interesting things there are to do at the Museum. You can work with the public or behind the scenes.
North Museum Docents complete a training program to provide group tours to students and visitors of all ages.
Special Event Volunteers check in guests or provide hospitality at member events, share information and demonstrate activities at signature events like STEAM Carnivale and the North Museum Science and Engineering Fair.
What in the World? is a career-based outreach program where professionals share what they do with school students. Over 40 schools request these programs each year. The program would not be possible without volunteers like you. We will help you unleash the science and mathematics within your career. Help students discover all the wonderful careers that are available to them.
